Located in an emblematic early 20th century building designed by the architect Josep Puig y Cadafalch, Hostal Empuries has been remodeled taking into account the philosophy of respect for the environment and the social environment in which it is located. 

The rooms, corridors and common areas have been redesigned under the premise of opening the original building to the outside, and therefore have been chosen rugs of natural tones made with materials such as wool, felt or cotton.  

Likewise, the challenge of the project has been to comply with the LEED Gold certification, based on sustainable construction and design leadership. All the rugs have Climate Neutral certification, an endorsement that, after developing a measurement, reduction and compensation program, guarantees that nanimarquina chooses a future of zero emissions.
