Kala is the result of our partnership with the Care & Fair organization in India. Created from original drawings by pupils at Care & Fair schools, for every rug sold from this collection we donate €150 to fund the Amita Vidyalayam school in Badohi.

Both the rectangular and round models are perfect for adding a touch of color and joy to spaces.

Technique

Hand tufted

Manual process in which, thanks to a manually operated gun, fluid curves and lines can be made. High density and durability.

Fiber

100% New wool

New Wool is more resistant than other types of wool. It has great durability and softness, plus it is insulating and absorbs moisture. Fiber with low environmental impact, since it is produced in the same place where the rugs are made. Characteristic crude base color.

Kala collection

Kala means “tomorrow” and “art” in Hindi and lends its name to a collection that unites Indian culture, nanimarquina’s main producer, and design through the eyes of children, the future.
Created from original drawings by the students of the Care & Fair charity schools in India, the Kala collection donates 150 € of each rug sold to the Amita school in Bhadohi, directed by the same organization.
We have collaborated with Care & Fair since 2002. A worldwide association founded in 1994 to fight child labor and improve the quality of life of rug manufacturers and their families in India Pakistan.
